Glimse of world AIDS day celebration at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Nursing, Perambalur on 01-12-2021
World AIDS day is celebrated on December First of every year. AIDS day celebration mainly focuses on educating the public on HIV/AIDS, to increase support and to unitedly fight against this deadly disease. The theme of World AIDS day celebration of this year is " END INEQUALITIES END AIDS END PANDEMICS" In this regard the Management and Principal of Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Nursing, Perambalur has organised a health awareness talk on HIV/AIDS. Mrs.Aanandhi, Associate Professor cum HOD, Community health nursing welcomed the gathering. Mrs.Padmavathi, ICTC counsellor, Ammapalyam has consented to be the chief guest and delivered health talk on HIV/AIDS. Mrs.Muniyammal, HOD OBG Nursing has delivered the AIDS day pledge, followed by pamphlet distribution. Mrs.J.Sathyapriya, Associate Professor, Community health nursing has delivered the vote of thanks.
Dhanalakshmi srinivasan college of nursing organized rally on 01.12.2012 for world AIDS day with the theme on GETTING TO ZERO along with Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Medical college and Hospital and Srinivasan college of nursing, Christian college of nursing and Aids district officer.Our chairman sri .A. Srinivasan and our Secretary Neelraj Commenced the rally. About 800 students were participated and created awareness.
World Aids Day was celebrated on 1st Dec 2011 at 10.00am at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Medical College & Hospital. The theme was “Getting to Zero” Dr.Renganathan, Dean, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Medical College & Hospital, Siruvachur was the chief guest and unfolded the theme. The programme was organized by the final year students and created awareness among the public by using models, flashcards & charts. The students also performed role play & the hand outs were distributed to the people about the prevention of AIDS. Around 500 people got benefited by the programme.
